Getting a Proper Diaper Fit

Choosing the right diaper size for your baby is key to keep your baby’s skin happier and your carpets drier.

Parasol Clear+Dry™ diapers with RashShield™ protection are soft, light and have just the right snug stretch. Our design has always been centered around babies so that they can explore the big world around them. Parasol babies are on the go, and the right diaper fit will be important so when they actually go (as in pee and poop), you can rest assured everything will stay in.

To help you find the perfect fit, we offer guidelines with a diaper sizes chart by age and weight. While no two babies will be the same shape, you will notice overlaps in the suggested sizes shown on the chart. Our Parasol family of babies will include short, tall, slim and chubbers, and each will need your attention to find the best size suited to them.

Tips for a Snug Fit:

Wrap the disposable diaper well around the waist and leg cuffs. The waist should be just below the baby’s belly button.

Run your fingers around the cuff edges to make sure they are pulled out and didn’t manage to get tucked under around the leg.

Play around with the resealable tabs and adjust for a snug and flexible fit. Put your finger between the waist elastic and baby’s skin and then lift the diaper slightly. The diaper should have some give.

When to move a size up? 

Fit and comfort are key. Your baby's diaper should fit right below the belly button; if it is too low-rise, it is time to size up. Other things that indicate your baby is ready for a larger size include: Your baby has marks on the skin due to the diaper or pants being too tight; your baby is experiencing blowouts and/or leaks; or if you are having to connect the tabs too close at the sides. It should not require too much pulling or adjusting to secure the tabs. On the contrary, if the tabs overlap toward the center of the waist, you need to go down a size.
