What makes Parasol different?

We only care about a few things, but we’re serious about taking those things to the next level.

  1. Baby essentials should be comforting. There’s a false belief that safe and eco-friendly diapers have to be rough and bulky. We’ve pulled in the diaper industry’s best minds and visionaries to prove that a truly responsible diaper can still feel softer than anything else out there.
  2. Great products should always evolve. There’s nothing special about creating a better diaper. The real magic is in doing it over and over again, and that’s exactly what we plan to do. We promise to always keep surprising you with better baby essentials.
  3. Today’s families are adventurous and do things their own way. This is what inspires us. Moms and Dads who open up their lives to bring their children into the world – whether it be music in the park or travels to foreign places – are the people we made Parasol for.

What does Parasol and its logo symbolize?

They symbolize today’s family. Nothing is more important than the home we create for our children, but the beauty of modern parenthood, and of amazing mothers and fathers just like you, is that ‘home’ has grown to mean so much more than just an address.

That bold approach to parenthood is infused into every detail of what we do, including our logo. We took inspiration from the familiar honeycomb, whose beautiful shape symbolizes evolution, nurturing, collaboration and ingenuity - all of which comprise our core values as a company. It’s a sweet reminder of the natural beauty in life.

Funny thing is that if you pay attention, you’ll start to see it everywhere. From crystal formations in the Andes mountains, to historical eastern art and the forward-thinking architecture of Frank Lloyd Wright – no matter where you go, there it is.

We’re parents, artists and thinkers all bonded by a belief that modern parenthood deserves to be beautiful and exceptionally comforting.

What is different about Parasol diapers?

Softness, safety and eco-consciousness, all wrapped in beautiful design – we don’t just promise those things, we push the upper limit.

Parasol diapers are made with a specially developed, ultra-soft topsheet layer that truly comforts your child, while our smart Drylock® technology gives you excellent absorption without wasteful and uncomfortable bulk. It’s a thinner, luxuriously softer diaper that just performs better, and made with carefully sourced baby-safe ingredients.

We believe this is the future of diapers. In fact, go ahead and touch a Parasol diaper and then compare it to your own brand. We invite you to feel the difference for yourself.

Are Parasol products safe for my baby?

Absolutely. Your child’s safety is our top priority, period. We source every material to be not only baby-safe, but responsible to the world and environment your baby is living in right now.

Our diapers are hypoallergenic and free of heavy metals, lead, latex, and chlorine. Our wipes are also hypoallergenic, alcohol-free, paraben-free, phthalate-free, and fragrance-free.

Our philosophy is that baby-safe products should not mean compromising on anything else, including softness, comfort or quality. The truth is, safe diapers don’t have to be rough and bulky. We’ve created a diaper that is amazingly soft for your baby’s comfort, but only made of quality, baby-safe ingredients you can rest assured about.

We also take that philosophy a step further by using less wood pulp from sustainably managed forests, creating less shipping waste, less packaging material and less of an overall footprint.

    The Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC) is an international non-profit, non-governmental organization dedicated to promoting Sustainable Forest Management (SFM) through independent third-party certification. PEFC works throughout the entire forest supply chain to promote good practice in the forest and to ensure that timber and non-timber forest products are produced with respect for the highest ecological, social and ethical standards. Thanks to its eco-label, customers and consumers are able to identify products from sustainably managed forests.

  • SZU - Czech Republic version of NIH

    The National Institute of Public Health (NIPH) is a health care establishment for basic preventive disciplines - hygiene, epidemiology, microbiology and occupational medicine. Its main tasks are health promotion and protection, disease prevention and follow-up of environmental impact on the health status of the population.

  • IFS Standard or IFS HPC

    A standard for auditing quality and safety of retailers and wholesaler branded household and personal care products.

  • TUV

    TUV is a technical inspection association that works to validate the safety of products of all kinds to protect humans and the environment against hazards.

  • Cruelty-Free

    The PETA Cruelty Free certification verifies that we do not conduct or commission any animal testing of our products - from the raw materials to the final product.

Where are Parasol diapers made?

Our diapers are manufactured in the Czech Republic, and our delight, discover, and dream diaper collection are hand-painted by emerging US artist Ashley Goldberg. Learn more about Ashley’s designs and her inspiration for our 2016 launch collection here

Where are the wipes made?

Our wipes are formulated, designed and manufactured in the USA using domestic and imported components.

How do your diapers fit compared to other brands?

Our Size 1 and Size 2 diapers tend to run a little smaller than other brands, while our Size 3 and Size 4 tend to run a little larger. Of course, this tendency may or may not be accurate for your baby depending on which diaper brand you currently use! You can find our sizing chart here!

Some of your sizes overlap in weights. How do I know which size to choose?

Please refer to our sizing chart here to find the most appropriate size for your baby. If your baby is between sizes, here are a few tips for choosing the best size for your little one:

  • - If your baby is tall and skinny, we recommend choosing the smaller size.
  • - If your baby is chubbier with a larger waist and thighs, we recommend choosing the larger size.
  • - Our Size 1 and Size 2 diapers tend to run a little smaller than other brands, while our Size 3 and Size 4 tend to run a little larger.

Do your diaper prints really look that beautiful in real life?

Yes, they absolutely do. And we never use optical brighteners to make the diaper designs brighter.

We commission artists to design our prints for each new Parasol diaper collection because we believe parenthood is a work of art. Parents like us are fashion-forward, and our babies are just as adorable as they are chic.

Our launch “Dream”, “Delight” and “Discover” collections were hand-painted by artist Ashley Goldberg of Portland, Oregon, and embody that same vivacious mentality. Read more about Ashley’s inspiration for Parasol’s designs here.

Are your products tested on animals?

Our diapers and wipes are not tested on animals. In fact, these products are certified Cruelty-Free and Vegan by PETA.

What is a diaper design collection? Can I pick my designs each month?

Each diaper collection has two signature Parasol patterns. You can choose your collection with your first order and change it at any time in the future by logging into your account before your next box ships.

Do you offer night time diapers?

Actually, our diapers are good for both day AND night! We have an ultra-soft topsheet with an absorbency capacity that is comparable to other leading premium brands

I have never seen your diapers in stores. How can I try them?

You can purchase a single pack of diapers (or any of our other amazing products) in our shop!

From time to time, we also offer a free trial as an easy way to experience our subscription service. Our trial boxes contain 8 diapers and a travel size 20 ct wipes package. The trial boxes are free and delivered right to your doorstep (there is a small shipping & handling cost of $5 for deliveries within the contiguous 48 states). Once the 15 day trial period is over, you will automatically be enrolled into our awesome subscription service!

Subscription Service & Management

How does Parasol’s subscription service work?

We like to keep things simple.

  1. Set up your account
  2. Select your baby’s diaper size
  3. Choose your favorite design collection
  4. Your first monthly box ships within 2-3 days of placing your order
We’ll automatically bill your card when your order is placed and every following month when we ship out a new box to you and your family.

Before your next box ships, you can always modify your diaper size, design collection and shipment frequency by going to your account.

Boxes are set to ship every 4 weeks by default, but you know your baby best and can easily set your subscription to ship every 3, 4 or 5 weeks. Running low? Speed up to 3 week deliveries. Got extras? Slow it down to every 5 weeks. Just go to your account to view and adjust your frequency as needed.

Our boxes ship from our California warehouse. Depending on where you live, it will take 3 - 7 days to receive your box. Keep this in mind when changing your shipment frequency.

You can cancel or pause your monthly orders anytime by going here. Yep, it’s that simple. If you pause, you can reactivate your monthly orders at any time.

What’s included in a monthly subscription box?

Diapers & Wipes Subscription includes:

Every child is different, so if you have too few or too many diapers for your monthly supply, you can go to your account to change the frequency of your shipment between 3 - 5 weeks. As parents ourselves, we love the convenience of having a full month’s diaper supply delivered right to our door. Sure, it saves time spent on shopping, planning and the frustration of lugging giant bags from the car, but also turns the task of buying diapers into a delightful experience.

We promise you’ll smile every time you see our heart-covered box appear on your doorstep because we put time and care into making sure your baby gets everything they need to feel comfortable and happy.

How do I update my baby’s diaper size, design collection and ship date?

Simply log into your account.

I am due with a baby in a few months. Can I order a subscription box now and have it ship at a later date?

Currently, we do not have the functionality to ship your 1st subscription box at a future date. However, you could order a subscription box now so it is ready at the time of your beautiful delivery then immediately “pause” your subscription. Once the baby is born, you can go back into your account and conveniently reactivate your subscription!

How much does everything cost?

Diapers and Wipes Subscriptions cost $85 per month, plus tax.

Diapers Only Subscriptions cost $70 per month, plus tax

Shipping for all monthly boxes is always free for the contiguous 48 states!

Shipping to Hawaii and Alaska is $30 per subscription.

Can I pause my subscription?

Yes, you can pause your monthly subscription and restart it anytime. Simply log into your account. Go to “My Subscriptions” and hit “Update”. Under the billing section, click on “Pause My subscription”.

You can leave it in pause mode for as long as you want. You will only be charged when you “reactivate” your subscription.

How do I reactivate my subscription?

Log back into your account and hit the black “REACTIVATE” button. You will be prompted to update your size, design collection, billing information, and shipping frequency. Your box will ship the next day!!!

However, if a previous subscription has been cancelled, you will simply need to create a new subscription by going here.

I want to switch from diapers-only to a diapers & wipes subscription service. How do I do that?

You can easily switch between our subscription services! Simply log into your account. Go to “My Subscriptions” and hit “Update”. Select your subscription type to include wipes ($85) or diapers only ($70).

When will I be charged each month?

Your card will be charged just before your subscription box ships and may take 1-2 days to appear on your card statement.

Log into your account, under “My Subscription” to see when your next shipment will be processed & billed. Make sure your billing information is up-to-date to ensure uninterrupted Parasol service!

When do monthly subscriptions ship?

Your first box will ship within 1-2 days of placing your order and subsequent monthly boxes ship every 4 weeks by default. You can adjust your shipping frequency between 3 - 5 weeks by logging into your account.

Yes! You can receive multiple boxes by simply setting up individual subscriptions for each child… and of course, shipping is included with every subscription for the contiguous 48 states!

What is your cancellation policy?

You can pause or cancel anytime by going here. Yep, it’s that simple. You can cancel your monthly subscription and restart it anytime. Simply log into your account. Go to “My Subscriptions” and hit “Update”. Under the billing section, click on “Cancel Subscription?”.

If you ever want to rejoin the Parasol family, you will simply need to create a new subscription by going here

I’m going on vacation, what do I do with my subscription service?

If you are going on vacation, you can change the shipping address to ship to your vacation destination or pause your subscription and reactivate it when you return. Learn how to pause and reactivate your subscription here

I’m thinking of ordering a free trial. How does your free trial work?

The free trial period is 15 days long and begins when you place the free trial order. Once the trial period is complete, you will be auto-enrolled into a Parasol subscription box of diapers and wipes

Three days before this trial period ends, you will receive an email reminding you to update your subscription preferences (type of subscription, diaper size, design collection, and shipping frequency).

Once the trial period is over, you will be automatically shipped a brand new box of Parasols right to your door!

Anytime during this trial period, you can also choose to “pause” or “cancel” your auto subscription service.

How can I reach customer service? Do you have a phone number I can call?

The best way to reach customer service is to email us at support@parasolco.com or you can find us on Facebook and send us a direct message! We are available Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm PST. Please allow 24 hours for a response - our team is working as quickly and diligently to address your questions! Unfortunately, we currently do not have a phone number to call but as our CS team grows, we hope to offer this service!

I’m halfway through my monthly supply and my child has outgrown their current diaper size. What should I do?

We don’t currently offer custom or mixed-size subscription boxes, but if you would like to return any unused/unopened diaper packs, we would be happy to apply a credit to your account and/or send you replacement packs. Please email support@parasolco.com for your return merchandise authorization (RMA) number. Then send us the tracking number of your returned packages, and we will immediately ship out your replacement product. (Please note: exchanges are subject to a $10 restocking fee.)

Once the returned products are received & inspected by our warehouse team, please allow up to 10 business days for eligible credits to be applied to your account.

Can I return my Parasols?

Yes, we’re sad to see your Parasols didn’t work out, but we are able to receive any unopened/sealed diaper packs or subscription boxes back.

Please email support@parasolco.com for your return merchandise authorization (RMA) number. Then send us the tracking number of your returned packages. (Please note: Returns are subject to a $10 restocking fee)

Once the returned products are received & inspected by our warehouse team, please allow up to 10 business days for eligible refunds to be applied to your credit card.

PURCHASING A GIFT SUBSCRIPTION

My friend is having a baby! How can I gift her a subscription of diapers and wipes?

In our shop we offer 1 month, 3 month, 6 month, and 12 month gift subscriptions! Go here to purchase one now!

I just bought a gift subscription of diapers and wipes - now what?

The lucky recipient will receive an email that contains a redemption code. They’ll need to enter the code here to redeem their gift.

You’ll receive an email when they redeem their gift.

Can I purchase a gift subscription now for the recipient to redeem on a future date?

Yes! Once you have made a purchase, we will email the happy recipient a redemption code. When the recipient is ready, they simply redeem this code here! It never expires.

Will the gifter or the gift recipient be charged shipping on a gift subscription?

Never! Shipping is always free for gift subscriptions to the contiguous 48 states.

Can I get a refund on a 6 month gift subscription I bought for my friend?

If the gift subscription has not been redeemed, then yes, we would be happy to refund the full amount for you. Refunds must be made within 30 days from the initial purchase.

I gifted my friend a 3 month subscription of Parasols. What if they have any issues with the products after receiving their first month of their gift subscription?

We encourage your friend to email us at support@parasolco.com and we will do our best to help them out!


RECEIVING A GIFT SUBSCRIPTION

I’ve been gifted! Now what?

Congratulations! Now comes the fun part - first you will need to claim your gift using your redemption code.

  1. Go to our gift redemption page here.
  2. Enter your redemption code (this should be in an email).
  3. Customize your subscription by selecting your diaper size and design collection.
  4. Done! Your shipment will go out the next day.

Can I Continue Receiving Subscription Boxes after my Gift Subscription Has Ended?

Yes! In fact, you can choose to continue your subscription at any time during your gift subscription period.

When you log into your account, under the “My Subscription” page, you can click the “Continue” button beside your gift subscription. You will then be prompted to enter your billing information. Remember, you will only be billed after your current gift subscription has ended!

I received a Gift Subscription but I already have a subscription!

Go ahead and put your existing subscription on pause. Follow the instructions here on how to claim your gift into your existing account. Once your gift subscription has ended, you can log back into your account to unpause your original subscription to ensure you have uninterrupted Parasol service.

Shop

How much is shipping for shop purchases?

Shipping costs start at $6. However, if you spend over $75, you will receive free shipping to the contiguous 48 states! Order total must exceed $75, with subscriptions and gift subscriptions excluded. Free shipping promotion is valid after discounts are applied.

Shipping to Alaska and Hawaii begins at $15. Free shipping does not apply to these addresses.

Items purchased under "shop" are not currently eligible to be shipped to Puerto Rico, PO boxes, or APO addresses.

How quickly will my products ship?

Once your shop order has been processed by our California warehouse, shipping will take 5 - 7 days via Fedex Ground.

Do you offer expedited shipping for shop purchases?

We do not currently offer expedited shipping. If you have a special request, please email support@parasolco.com and we will do our best to help you out!

Can I exchange or return my order?

How can I track my order?

Once your Parasols have been shipped, we will send you an email with your tracking number and order details. You can also log into your account and go to “My Orders” to find your tracking number.

Not yet. Currently we ship our products using Ontrac (1-3 days) and Fedex Smartpost (5-10 days). If you have a unique circumstance, please email us at support@parasolco.com and we will do our best to assist you..

I forgot my password. How can I reset it?

Simply go to login page and click on "forgot password".

How do I update my billing information?

Just log into your account to update your billing information.

How do I change my shipping address?

Just log into your account to update your shipping information.

How do I redeem a promo code?

Click the “Redeem Promo Code” link on the checkout page. A box should appear for you to insert your code. That’s it!

Do you charge sales tax?

Yes, we charge sales tax on our subscription boxes, but shipping is always free for the contiguous 48 states.

Return / Exchange Policy

How do I report a problem with my order?

Email us at support@parasolco.com and we’ll respond within 24-48 hours. We believe in 1) creating amazing baby essentials, 2) transparency, and 3) making sure every Parasol family is taken care of. Let us know how we can help and we’ll fix the issue as soon as possible.

Can I exchange or return my order?

Yes. We will accept unopened packages and we will happily apply a credit to your account. Email support@parasolco.com for your return merchandise authorization (RMA) number.

Please keep in mind that exchange/return shipping is at your own expense. All returns are subject to a $10 restocking fee and must be made within 30 days after the product shipment date. (see return policy). Once the returned product is received by our warehouse team, please allow up to 10 business days for the credit to be applied.

If you would like us to send you replacement product, we will ship it out immediately while we wait for your return. Your credit card will be charged for the new product(s). Once the returned product is received by our warehouse team, please allow up to 10 business days for the store credit to be applied.

Inviting Friends

I heard about you from a friend. Do you have a referral program where I can share Parasol with other parents?

Not only do we have a referral program, but we have a cheer squad in the office that celebrates you every time you mention us to a friend.

We give both you and your friend $20 credit after they order their first subscription box which can be applied towards your next subscription box and your friend’s second subscription box! Go to our Refer Friends page for more detail and to get started!

How do I keep track of my referral credits?

Just go to your Referral page to see how much credit you’ve earned by inviting your friends. Remember, we give both you and your friend $20 credit when they order their first subscription box.

We love featuring our Parasol families! In fact, all of our website photographs are taken with Parasol parents and babies.

Please note that our photo and video shoots typically take place in California, and we’re only able to give 1-2 days notice for an upcoming shoot.
